IMPORTANT: Road works and closures on Monash-CityLink-West Gate
For your travelling convenience, please be advised that the following works will be happening on the Monash-CityLink-West Gate upgrade project.

1. Road closure: 10:00 PM Saturday, 6 December to 9:00 AM Sunday, 7 December
Locations:
* Monash Fwy inbound between Burke Rd and Power St, including Domain Tunnel; and
* Monash Fwy outbound between Kings Way and Toorak Rd, including Burnley Tunnel.
2. Road closure: 7:00 AM Saturday, 6 December to 4:00 AM Monday, 8 December
Locations: CityLink, Outbound Carriageway, from Yarra Blvd to Glenferrie Road

Please note: Traffic speeds during road work times stated above will be reduced to 60km to maintain the safety of workers and motorists. Please observe the speed limit and drive safely.
Start time: 10:00 PM Saturday, 6 December End time: 9:00 AM Sunday, 7 December
Locations:
* Monash Fwy inbound between Burke Rd and Power St, including Domain Tunnel; and
* Monash Fwy outbound between Kings Way and Toorak Rd, including Burnley Tunnel.
Situation: Full freeway closure. No lanes will be open.
A fully singed detour route will be provided as follows:
* Eastbound traffic – via Kings Way, Princes Hwy and Warrigal Rd; and
* Westbound traffic – via Burke Rd, Prince Hwy and Kings Way.
Special notes: Progressive lane closures will commence in inbound and outbound directions from 8.30 PM on Saturday night. progressive lane openings will occur until 12:00 PM on Sunday 7, December. Delays are expected.
Reason for closure: Various construction activities including: Gantry installation; Gantry removal; and Concrete stitch pour.

Detail about closures:
* Fully closed: 10:00 PM Saturday to 9:00 AM Sunday 7 (Please refer to full freeway closure works alert for details.);
* Left lane closure: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Saturday;
* Left and centre lane closure: 8:00 PM Saturday to Midday Sunday; and
* Left lane closure: Midday Sunday to 4.00 AM Monday.
Delays: Significant delays are expected when the double lane closure is implemented on the Saturday evening and again after 10:00AM on Sunday.
Special notes: The lane closures adjacent to the concrete pour are required in order to minimize vibration of the structure due to vehicle movements. The times stated above are indicative only and are subject to change. Speed on the outbound carriageway will be reduced to 60kph throughout the works.
Reason for closure: Main works are a concrete deck pour and subsequent setting. Other works occurring include noise wall installation.
